Being almost 50 years old, Rivers Edge Golf Course is an old type of design that offers a challenge to all caliber of players. The par 71 layout plays a bit longer than the scorcard says because of the five par 3's, three of which measure over 180 yards, and at times play into the prevailing winds. Two ponds come into play off the first tee to get your nerves working right away. Rivers Edge has always been one of the favorites of the tri-state area. The 2009 overseeding schedule begins on September 14, completing nine holes at a time. Completion of the greens, tees and fairways should be completed by October 26.
